Very simply, a health coach is a person who is passionate about helping you and your family be as healthy as you can be while still having FUN WITH FOOD. A health coach is available to help you on your journey every step of the way to provide encouraging and non-judgmental advice.
It is often scary making a change to your lifestyle. Will you like the food? Will I still be able to have dessert at a party or at a special dinner? A good health coach will help you make the transition to a healthier lifestyle in a way that works for you and your family. Eating healthy meals does not require you to eat tasteless cardboard. In fact, healthy foods often have lots of fresh seasonings so they actually taste BETTER than the foods that you may be used to eating. You don’t even have to give up desserts. In fact, I eat dessert once a week (during the weekend) and have snacks like fruit smoothies when I have a craving for something sweet during the week. Don’t be afraid to ask a potential health coach to show you their certification. I am always happy to show potential clients proof of my certification. I want you to know that you are working with someone who takes the health of your family seriously.

A health coach can provide a variety of services. Regardless of the services you ultimately choose, your health coach should be willing to move at a pace that is comfortable for your family and be willing to listen to and address any concerns that you have along the way.
