Exfoliating in the Winter MonthsPosted by Moira on Nov 1, 2018 in Featured Slider, Skincare Tips and Tricks | 0 comments
The cooler fall weather has arrived and with it comes the switch from air conditioning to heat (at least here in SC). I love that feeling of washing dishes while the heat blows on my feet. I love closing the door to the bathroom and being enveloped in that warmth that comes from the vent. Surely I’m not the only one, right?
Even if I am the only one who loves the switch to heat, it doesn’t change the fact that the heat is drying to our skin. As you get cozy this winter, remember that in order for your favorite (Lemongrass Spa) lotion to add moisture back to your skin effectively, you need to remove the dead skin cells. This is why exfoliation is key.
Taking the time to gently exfoliate your skin, using appropriate products for each part of your body, removes the dead skin cells, smooths the way for your other favorite products, and cleans out the gunk that collects in your pores (minimizing their appearance).
Luckily, with Lemongrass Spa, we have several fabulous options. The Charcoal Facial Polish gives a gentle detoxifying exfoliation, while the Hydrating Facial Mask has jojoba beads and seaberry seed extract leaving your skin feeling silky smooth. The Microdermabrasion Creme is magic in a jar. With volcanic micro-crystals, the Microdermabrasion Creme offers a safer alternative to chemical peels.
The skin on the rest of our body is a bit tougher, making the body polishes a wonderful options. Bonus: the delicious scents! More about the body polishes and their many uses coming soon.
